The Morris Animal Foundation funds research into many canine diseases. Donations can be made to their general fund, or for a specific project. 

AKC/CHF is a foundation dedicated to research into canine health. There is also much educational information available on their site. AKC/CHF, in partnership with OFA, has developed the CHIC Open Database registry.
